Co-Pastors Carrie and Derrick Reid

Derrick and Carrie were married December 31, 2010.  Together they have six children-- MeShunda Williams, Capricia Williams, Derricka Reid, Derrick Reid Jr., Darrion Reid,  and Derriah Reid.  They have six  grandchildren-- King Hardy, Genesis Nelson, Qirri Carter,  Gianni Nelson, and Kaloni Simmons. 

Pastor Carrie Peters Reid, was born and raised in Madison, Georgia. She received her education in the Morgan County school system and graduated Morgan County High in 1986. She attended Athens Area Technical College and GA Institute of Cosmetology and graduated with a degree in cosmetology. She understands the importance of continuous education and  is currently enrolled in Andersonville Theological Seminary.

 

Pastor Carrie is committed to serving her community.  She is the owner of and stylist in Carrie’s Dollhouse Salon in Madison, GA. She has been a hairstylist for 33 years. She serves on the Madison City Council and represents District 1 . She  has held  her seat for 9 consecutive years (3 terms). She is the Founder/Executive Director of Spread Love of GA, INC– a 501©3 advocating for mental health, substance abuse,  domestic violence and career development.

 

Pastor Carrie received her calling for ministry under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Hoke Smith of the Calvary Baptist Church Madison, GA.  Currently she is under the spiritual  leadership of Pastor Bernard Hamp of the New Enon Baptist Church in Godfrey, GA, where she received her foundation and purpose in ministry. Pastor Carrie began her service as  Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church August 2018.  

Pastor Carrie loves being a servant of the Most High God and her favorite scripture is Romans 8:28– All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.  

Pastor Derrick Reid, Sr. received his education in the Morgan County School System.  He graduated from Morgan County High in 1997  and he is currently enrolled in Columbus State University.

Pastor Derrick has worked for the  Morgan County Sheriff Department for 13 years.  He started his career as a jailer, then deputy, and worked his way to Captian of Morgan County Sheriff Office.  

Pastor Derrick received his call to ministry in 2017 under the leadership of Pastor Bernard Hamp of the New Enon Baptist Church.  

Pastor Derrick's favorite scripture is Genesis 12:2-- And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing
